About Animals at Home (Derbyshire) Ltd.
My name is Liz and having had 15 years working in a busy University library, I got tired of saying "sshh" so decided to find something more rewarding. This is me with a selection of my own pets: Max the handsome labrador cross and scaredy Nell who doesn't like having her photograph taken. The rest of the gang includes cats Sybil and Polly, the maiden aunts of the household, Mervyn the tail-less wonder who can often be found sitting on top of the amublance looking for a lads' night out. Many people worry that this is the way I transport animals, but I can assure you that all my taxi fares have a safe, warm and comfortable ride to their destination, in the specially designed ambulance.
Over the years, with 4 children, I have experienced ownership of a number of different pets from hamsters to snakes. My eldest daughter is a Veterinary Nurse and is always bringing waifs and strays home, hence Mervyn with no tail and a limp.
From my own experience as a pet owner, I know the concerns that arise when you work full-time, have been invited to a wedding, you have tickets for the West End or you are just ready for a nice relaxing holiday on the beach. "Who will look after the animals?" You can rest assured that I am at hand to take care of all your pet care requirements, be it walking the dog, feeding your cats or cleaning out the rabbit hutch. I am also available to take you and your pet on trips to the vet, the grooming parlour or even to the mother-in-law's for Christmas. Distance is no object as my ambulance is DEFRA licensed which means I can officially take you anywhere you want to go.
